World Unique Journey – General Terms and Conditions of Travel

1. Scope and organiser

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all trips offered by D&A Rent Solutions Sagl on www.worlduniquejourney.com: group trips with fixed dates and tailor-made trips.

The tour organiser is D&A Rent Solutions SAGL, Via dei Faggi 4, 6912 Pazzallo, Switzerland ("we", "us"). Email: info@worlduniquejourney.com, phone: +41 79 784 80 67.

The customer is the person who books the trip ("you"). By confirming the booking, you accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all participants you register.

2. Booking and confirmation

The travel contract only becomes binding once we have received the deposit.

  • Group trips: you choose one of the published departures and send us a request via the contact form or by email.

  • Tailor-made trips: you tell us what you are looking for and we prepare a personalised itinerary.

In both cases, we send you a written offer stating the itinerary, dates, included and excluded services, number of participants and total price.

When you request a booking, we send you a deposit invoice for 30% of the trip price, payable within the period stated on the invoice. Once the deposit is received, we send you a written travel confirmation. If the deposit is not received within this period, the offer expires.

3. Prices, flights and payment

Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). They include the accommodation and activities listed in the offer; anything not listed is not included.

Single room (group trips): prices are per person in a double room. Guests who want a single room pay the supplement stated in the offer. If one of the two occupants of a double room cancels, the remaining participant pays the single room supplement.

Flights: on request, flights can be included in the trip price. If you book your flight yourself, it is not part of our contract and only the airline's terms apply.

Payment is made in two instalments:

  • Deposit: 30% of the total price, invoiced at the time of booking. The deposit confirms the trip.

  • Balance: the remaining amount, payable no later than 30 days before departure.

For bookings made less than 30 days before departure, the full amount is due immediately. Payments are made by bank transfer to the account stated in the offer; any bank charges are borne by the customer.

For example, for a departure on 31 October, the balance must be paid by 1 October. If the balance is not paid by this date, the trip is considered cancelled by the customer and the deposit is not refunded.

Price changes: we may only increase the price in the event of changes in transport costs (e.g. fuel), taxes or fees (e.g. airport taxes) or exchange rates. We will inform you in writing at least 22 days before departure; after this date the price can no longer be increased. If the increase exceeds 10%, you may withdraw from the contract with a full refund.

4. Cancellation by the customer

You may cancel the trip at any time before departure by notifying us in writing by email.

  • Up to 31 days before departure: we refund half of the deposit. We keep the other half.

  • From 30 days before departure: no refund is made. The full trip price is due.

  • No-show or interruption of the trip: the full price is due; unused services are not refunded.

If you have booked a flight yourself, its cancellation is subject to the airline's terms.

Transfer of the booking: instead of cancelling, you may transfer the trip to another person who meets the conditions of participation, provided you inform us in good time before departure. You and the new traveller are jointly liable for the price and any additional costs, such as name changes on flights.

Every participant must have travel cancellation and assistance insurance valid for the entire duration of the trip.

5. Changes and cancellation by the organiser

Minor changes: we may make minor changes to the itinerary (e.g. times, order of stops or replacing accommodation with an equivalent one) if they do not affect the overall quality of the trip. We will inform you as soon as possible.

Significant changes: if we have to significantly change an essential element of the trip, we will inform you in writing immediately. You may accept the change or withdraw from the contract with a full refund of the amounts paid.

Minimum number of participants (group trips): if the minimum number stated in the offer is not reached, we may cancel the trip up to 30 days before departure. In this case, we refund all amounts paid in full, including the deposit.

Extraordinary circumstances: we may also cancel the trip if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances prevent it from taking place, such as war, natural disasters, serious health risks or official orders. In this case too, we refund all amounts paid in full, with no further claims.

6. Travel documents, health and customer obligations

Before booking, we inform you of the general passport and visa requirements for Swiss and EU citizens and the health formalities of the destination. Travellers of other nationalities should check with the representation of the destination country.

You are responsible for carrying valid documents (passport, visas, any required vaccinations) for the entire duration of the trip. Any costs resulting from missing or invalid documents are your responsibility.

You must inform us of any special needs at the time of booking, such as reduced mobility, health issues relevant to the activities, or dietary requirements.

During the trip, you must comply with local laws and the instructions of the guides. If your behaviour endangers yourself or other participants, we may exclude you from the trip without a refund.

You are liable for any damage you cause to third parties or service providers.

7. Liability and complaints

We are responsible for the proper performance of the services included in the contract, including those provided by others, such as hotels, guides or transport companies.

Complaints during the trip: if a service does not match what was agreed, please report it immediately on site to your trip coordinator, by email to info@worlduniquejourney.com or directly to the guide, so that we can take action. If you do not report it, you may partly lose your right to a price reduction. Any compensation claims must be sent in writing within 30 days of your return.

Limitation of liability: for damage other than personal injury, our liability is limited to twice the price of the trip, except in cases of gross negligence or intent. The limits set by international conventions, such as those for air transport, remain reserved. We are not liable for services you book yourself, such as separately purchased flights.

8. Data protection, governing law and jurisdiction

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Lugano, Switzerland, subject to mandatory provisions protecting consumers.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
