OVERVIEW
Sea, Swahili culture and authentic encounters, on the Kenyan coast
9 days / 8 nights · Watamu
Some places you visit, others you live. This journey is made for the second kind: to show you the most authentic Kenya — the one of genuine smiles, sunsets over the Indian Ocean and encounters that stay with you. Our base is Watamu, on the Swahili coast, and each day we set out to discover the sea and its people.
Over a week we move between white-sand beaches and tides that constantly reshape the shore, the "Blue Safari" through the crystal waters of the Marine Park, the ancient ruins of Gede wrapped in tropical forest, and Malindi with the Marafa canyon, known as Hell's Kitchen. But the heart of the journey is its people: days spent with the Giriama community, a meeting with local villagers, and a shared act of solidarity. Not the usual trip to Kenya, but a weave of sea, culture and authenticity, at a slow pace.
